On Saturday, June 15th the Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA) announced State Wide Pool Services as the winner of the Commercial Pool over $250,000 and Commercial Project of the Year at their South Australian Awards for Excellence Dinner for the Fleurieu Aquatic Centre.

Topping off a great evening we also walked away with Highly Commended Award for Pridham Hall in the Commercial Pool over $250,000 category.

ABOUT THE AWARDS
The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of members across all sectors of the Swimming Pool and Spa Industry. They offer the opportunity for the industry to showcase accomplishments in construction, design, manufacturing and service.  State-based awards are held across the country with Gold Winners competing for the National title in August.

ABOUT THE PROJECTS
The Fleurieu Aquatic Centre features a 25m Main Pool in addition to a Warm Water Rehabilitation Pool, Multi-Purpose Program Pool, and Outdoor Splash park as part of the $21 million project.

State Wide Pool Services are passionate about community pools, particularly in the regional and rural areas of the country. We have built an ongoing relationship with the centre management and regularly perform preventative maintenance and servicing on the site to maintain the facility with exceptional water quality and ensure the longevity of this valuable community asset.

“The Fleurieu Aquatic Centre is a modern sports and recreation facility featuring a main pool, rehabilitation pool, program pool and Splash park to support the lifestyle and wellbeing of the local community. The state of the art facility showcases quality workmanship and in-depth knowledge of best practice operational requirements.”

Pridham Hall is a multifunctional celebration and sporting facility in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD. The architectural style of the building has been described as modern and expressive with minute details and innovation purposefully included in all aspects of the building, the swimming pool is absolutely no exception.

The challenges of this inner-city building site and the basement level location of the pool meant that while a traditional concrete constructed pool was certainly possible the benefits of the pool using the Natare System where impossible to ignore. Construction could be faster and more straightforward with a high quality, pre-engineered stainless-steel pool. Additional benefits were seen in the Automatic Surge Control and Microflo Vacuum Sand Filter options presented by Natare.

Situated in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, the Pridham Hall Swimming Pool is a stunning example of high-quality stainless-steel pool construction and innovative thinking. The pool utilises Australian firsts in filtration and guttering systems to create a breathtaking, edgy subterranean swimming environment.

We wish to sincerely thank SPASA, Kennett’s Builders, The YMCA & Fleurieu Aquatic Centre, Mossops Constructions & Interiors, UniSA.

We also take this opportunity to thank all our dedicated Staff, Subcontractors and Suppliers for their continually outstanding work. We dedicate this win to our friend Peter DeAraugo (1955-2017).
